Senators, Reps want SAN title - Total thoughtlessness

Senators, House of Representatives members and members of other legislative houses in the country who are lawyers, on Monday intensified their desire to be conferred with the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN.
The desire also affects all lawyers working in legislative houses in various capacities.

These set of people claimed to have worked harder than other regular lawyers in the judicial system.

Sometimes one cannot stop wondering if the set of politicians we have in this country actually knows and understand what they are empowered to do. if you think you deserve a title shouldn't you work hard to earn it? has our legislative seats become a tool of seeking for titles?

If these guys have like five brothers who are jobless they will really know there are pressing issues to discuss in the house other than discussing how to get titles. This is a total display of thoughtlessness, the one the yoruba people will refer to as aini 'ronu (lack of thought).

Up till now Nigeria cannot afford stable electricity and we are talking of titles, more than half of our youths are idle and jobless and legislators are concerned about titles. Startups are finding it so difficult to access funds for starting up and title is more important to these guys. 

Having these kind of people with poor thinking such as this will never take this country anywhere in my opinion.
